This truly creepy piece is a real orb weaver Spider and housefly on an imitation spider web in resin. The scientific name of the spider is Araneus ventricosus and the Fly is musca domestica. These spiders are mainly found in Japan, Korea and China. They are known for constructing webs overnight, only to dismantle it come morning as well as engaging in elaborate mating dances.
