Description
This real scorpion in resin is Mesobuthus martensii, its common name is the Chinese Scorpion, Golden Scorpion, or the Manchurian scorpion. It can be found in China, Mongolia or Japan in warm dry areas with little plant life. It has a lifespan of about 4-6 years. The venom in its tail has been used in Chinese medicine for many years to treat various medical issues, such as pain, paralysis, and epilepsy.
This real scorpion in resin is a welcome addition to any entomology collection or to be used as a teaching aid. The crystal clear resin enables you to closely, and safely inspect this specimen from all angles.
As with all specimens in resin, size, coloration and positioning can slightly vary. Lucite block measures approx. 2 3/4 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches wide.
