This dung beetle (Catharsius molossus) is one of the most widespread coprophagous species found in the tropical Asian regions. Males can reach length of almost two inches and it quite hairy on the ventral side. The more well know scarabs of ancient Egypt are a type of dung beetle too.
Lucite block measures approx. 2 3/4 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches wide.

The item was a bit smaller than expected, but the resin was nice and clear and nicely shaped. The bug specimen was also good and my nephew loved it!
