Product description
The Common Brimstone (Gonepteryx Rhamni) is a butterfly of the family Pieridae. It lives throughout the Hamalayas, Eurasia, North Africa and across Europe. The brimstone relies on two species of buckthorn plants as host plants for its larvae. These plants are commonly found in wetlands.
This delicate, soft yellow butterfly is set in a solid block of lucite, making it a beautiful addition to any decor or entomology collection.
Lucite block measures approximately 3 inches square. Add a nice finishing touch to your preserved butterfly with an optional display stand. Made of clear acrylic, this stand really enhances the piece, giving it a nice viewing angle.
As with all real butterflies in resin, size, coloration and positioning can vary slightly.
It was hard to find a yellow butterfly gift like this but I’m so glad we did. It’s perfect and will be a keepsake for the recipient.
