This stunning transparent and pink winged butterfly in resin features the Cithaerias pireta, commonly known as the Blushing Phantom or Pink-Tipped Glasswing Satyr which is found throughout Mexico and parts of South America. This butterfly can tilt its body to raise the eyespots near the wing tips  to create a striking pattern to mimic the head of a small snake, helping confuse potential predators.

Preserved in clear resin, this specimen makes a beautiful display piece for insect collectors, curiosity cabinets, or anyone drawn to delicate and unusual natural specimens.

Add a nice finishing touch to your preserved butterfly with an optional display stand. Made of clear acrylic, this stand really enhances the piece, giving it a nice viewing angle.

Lucite block measures approximately 3 inches square. As with all real specimen in resin, size, coloration and positioning of butterfly within the lucite can vary slightly.
