Description

This insect specimen in resin is Lanternfly (Pyrops candelaria). This is a very unique insect with it’s bright patterned oranges and long nose with a bulbus tip. It’s a welcome addition to any entomology collection.

Lanternflies is a species of planthopper and can be found Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand. Although they are called Lanternflies, they do not light up. Their long proboscis is used for feeding, where it will use it to eat plant matter and sap.

Resin block measures approx. 2 3/4 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches wide. As with all specimens in lucite, size, shape and positioning can vary slightly. We guarantee a high quality specimen.
