Description
This insect specimen in resin is a real Lanternfly in resin (Pyrops candelaria). It’s wings have been gently opened in order to display it’s stunning colors and patterns. A welcome addition to any entomology collection.
Lanternflies is a species of planthopper and can be found Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand. Although they are called Lanternflies, they do not light up. Their long proboscis is used for feeding, where it will use it to eat plant matter and sap.
Resin block measures approximately 3 inches square. Add a nice finishing touch to your preserved lanternfly with an optional display stand. Made of clear acrylic, this stand really enhances the piece, giving it a nice viewing angle.
As with all specimens in lucite, size, shape and positioning can vary slightly. We guarantee a high quality specimen.
