Squid in Resin, Euprymna berryi

Description
This is the Hummingbird Bobtail Squid, also known as Berry’s Bobtail Squid. This fascinating little specimen in resin offers an intriguing look at squid anatomy. Squid possess two long tentacles and eight arms—the tentacles are used to capture prey, while the arms secure it and guide it toward the central beak. The beak then cuts the food into smaller, digestible pieces. Squid are agile swimmers, relying on jet propulsion to move swiftly, and they primarily hunt using their keen eyesight. A remarkable addition to any collection or an excellent educational tool.
As with all specimens in lucite, size, color, and positioning of squid within the resin can vary slightly. Real Squid in resin Measures approx. 2 3/4 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches wide.
My specimen gets a lot of attention because of all its detail and its pale purple color. It’s worth every penny and it’s a perfect addition to my home!
Bought 2 of these & sent as gifts & the recipients love them! Despite small size, the detail is great! An awesome gift for any squid lovers or general marine animal lovers!
Thanks for the specimen, the quality is great and looks good among my other specimens and oddities.
Smaller specimen than expected but so well detailed and displayed.
