Dissected Toad in Resin, Bufo gargarizans

This dissected frog in resin makes for an excellent teaching aid. The specimen been has been meticulously dissected and it’s internal organs plasticized. The vivid red arteries and blue veins make it easy to learn the anatomy of a toad. It is set flawlessly in crystal clear resin making it a wonderful teaching tool that can be used for years and years.

The specimen is (Bufo gargarizans) the Asiatic Toad or Chusan Island Toad. It is very common in China, China and portions of Far East Russia. This toad avoids dense forest but can be found in open grasslands and meadows. The toxins from The Asiatic toad play an important role in traditional oriental medicine, and more recently in Western medical science.

As with all natural specimens in resin, size, color and positioning can slightly vary. This large Dissected Toad in Resin measures approx. 7 1/4 inches tall by 3 3/4 inches wide.
