This little specimen is a real Carpenter Bee in resin. Its scientific name is Xylocopa dissimilis. This particular species is typically recognized by it’s solid black body and often iridescent wings. This species is widely found throughout Southeast Asia. It is a major pollinator within the ecosystem, and is often mistaken for a bumblebee.
