Product description
With it’s wings gently spread wide open, you can see all the brilliant colors and patterns of this beautiful mantis. It is no mystery why the common name of this specimen is The Jeweled Flower Mantis. This piece makes a wonderful addition to any entomology collection.
Growing to about two inches in length, this stunningly beautiful mantis in resin (Creobroter gemmatus) can be found living in humid regions. They are widespread in Asia. Females can be cannibalistic, although not common, it is more likely with this particular species of mantis.
As with all insect specimens, size shape and coloration can slightly vary. We guarantee a quality specimen. Lucite block measures approx. 2 3/4 by 1 1/2 inches.
The specimen was beautiful, but only 2-dimensional. I am guessing it was dried and flattened. When you put it against a white background, it looked dazzling, and the colors on the wings are very vibrant. Very good desktop ornament!

When it’s not the main attraction of my desk it’s being passed around for interactive entomology at my pest control business, very cool piece!
